My Most Recent Supervision Report. Dated: 7th January 2013
I have been supervising Tracey for some years and I have found her to be an empathic, sensitive and skilled Counsellor. She works to the BACP ethical guidelines and maintains safe boundaries at all times. Tracey has worked with some complex and challenging issues during the past year and has proved to be a creative and effective Counsellor, achieving excellent outcomes. I have been particularly impressed with her work with couples where she demonstrates insight and an ability to challenge problematic behaviours sensitively and constructively, enabling the clients to move forward with a better understanding of each other and their situation. Tracey also has a great deal of knowledge and experience of the psychological issues relating to Eating Disorders and has done some excellent work witht his client group, focusing on the deep rooted issues around food rather that the physiological aspects. This approach has resulted in improved self esteem and confidence in her clients and this, together with a better understanding of their issues, has enabled her clients to find new and less harmful coping strategies. In Supervision, Tracey is open to exploring her own process and works very hard to ensure she is working in her clients' best interests. She always uses Supervision constructively. I experience Tracey to be an experienced and competent Counsellor who is able to work at a deep therapeutic level whilst ensuring client safety and autonomy. I have no hesitation in recommending her as an excellent Counsellor.
